A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of getting to meet baby G, a sweet, beautiful newborn baby girl. Though she didn’t want to rest too well for us, the session was still a lot of fun. And when you’re this naturally gorgeous and adorable, it’s certainly not hard to get some good shots!

I can’t resist seeing those sweet, tiny eyelashes!

A neighbor/friend stopped by to see Miss G, and we managed to get her in a few shots. What an absolute doll - gotta love those baby blues!

We also managed to get in some family pictures. What a beautiful family, too! I know they are overflowing with joy with love for their new addition!

A lot of my friends from high school and college are expecting right now, and I’m so excited for all of them! Parenthood changes your life completely, in the most amazing way possible. A little over two years ago, I met the man of my dreams. He was short, pudgy, toothless, and squirmy. But he stole my heart, and he holds it firmly still. He’s growing up so fast — faster than I can believe.

The great thing about this age, however, is the fact that he will finally stay still for a moment, long enough to let me take a picture of him! So without further adieu, my Andrew:

Repp and Kelly are married!

One of the great things about being from a small town is that everyone knows everyone, and weddings are often intimate ceremonies with familiar, friendly faces. And Repp and Kelly’s wedding was no different! We had a great time, despite the rain and humidity! Thank you for letting us be a part of your wonderful day!

I considered posting a more serious, formal family picture in this blog post. But one of the things I love about wedding days is laughter. Planning a wedding is definitely a tiresome, stressful job. It’s always wonderful to be able to see families kick back and enjoy the day despite all of the craziness that’s led up to it!

You may remember this adorable little boy from this blog post. But my has he grown up! Kelly is a proud aunt — but it’s hard not to be when you have a nephew that handsome!

A while back, I once again had the pleasure of working with Catherine from Woodland Fields Photography, second shooting AZ and Bethel’s wedding in Panama City. And for a summer, beach wedding, it was quite pleasant! Not too sunny, not too hot… and no tar balls (that I saw, anyway)!

Bethel and AZ were an amazing couple, with incredible families! And boy, did they know how to have fun and throw an awesome party! I don’t think there was a dull moment all day.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing you a lifetime of blessings and wonderful times together!

First, an apology: I have stalled in blogging due to a crazy schedule and a chaotic house. But I assure you, I have plenty to blog about, and I intend to try to get this thing back up and running in a timely and consistent manner. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Now, onto the good stuff!

I LOVE when new albums come in! I love fawning over the craftsmanship of the albums, the beautiful colors, the smoothness of the pages… it’s just magical! And of course, I love imagining how much my clients will adore and cherish their albums!

I had such an incredible time with Trevor and Natasha during their engagement session, and I can’t wait for their wedding! Their engagement album finally arrived, and it was Christmas in July for me! I love album day!

I love photographing weddings. I have such a great time getting to share in the joy and love of couples’ most special day. But Trey and Stephanie’s wedding was one that had extra meaning for me. Stephanie and I have been friends since I was was eight, went through school as friends, were roommates and sorority sisters in college… we’ve had a lifetime of great times and wonderful memories together.

When she began dating Trey, I knew he was special - she wouldn’t be with anyone who wasn’t. Meeting him, I realized that he was absolutely perfect for her. The One.

I had an incredible time with their engagement session in Charleston, and I was certain that their wedding day would be just as special and meaningful, which, as it turned out, was an understatement. It was a great day, reconnecting with old friends… but on top of everything else, it was a day to share in the love of Trey and Stephanie. These guys were made for each other, and I am so happy and truly honored that I was invited to share in their joy.

Congratulations, you guys!

Jenny’s Adventures in Chaos

I have an incredible friend and assistant in my sister Jenny. We spend so much time together laughing and reverting back to our ten-year-old ways. It helps having someone around that I can have fun with, and it makes my job so much easier and less stressful than I know it could be.

Jenny has started a blog about all of the chaos that follows her around throughout her day, mostly in the form of a very creative and wordy four year old daughter, and a two year old daughter who is a total clown. The blog is a work in progress, so pardon the dust during the construction period. But go, have a look around, and be sure to leave some comments for her!
